Nicole Richie checked in to Lynnewood yesterday, August, 23, at 3:15pm and was out of jail by 4:37pm. That is 82 minutes total time! She was only in her cell for 35 minutes.
This release was due to prison "overcrowding" ok, even with Nicole pregnant, she is still a tiny girl, she was listed at 5'1" and 105 lbs. I am sure they could have squeezed her in somewhere. I mean they held Paris for weeks. If they had room for Paris, they should be able to fit Nicole. My main complaint about this is there was no drama. No crying photo of Nicole in the back of a police car....
The County Sheriff issued this statement regarding her stay:
On August 23 2007, at 3:15 PM Miss Nicole Camille Richie reported to CRDF and surrendered herself following a July 27 arrest, she was sentenced to serve 96 hours in County Jail. Miss Richie was accompanied by her attorney, Shawn Chapman Holly and her boyfriend Joel Madden. Miss Richie was booked and processed into the jail system. Miss Richie was cooperative during the process. Based on her sentence and federal court guidelines, Miss Richie was released at 4:37 PM today.
